Promises Kept

The book of Ezra recounts the faithfulness of God in restoring the remnant of His people to the Promised Land, and the restoration of worship. Throughout the book we see the work of God in not only rebuilding but reviving and renewing His people. In today's text, Ezra points out how God was actively working behind the scenes to fulfill His promises. God works through both a pagan king and the faith-filled obedience of His people who left everything comfortable to follow God, lessons applicable for us today as God builds His Kingdom.
