Rebuilding

The book of Ezra recounts the faithfulness of God in restoring the remnant of His people to the Promised Land, and the restoration of worship. Throughout the book we see the work of God in not only rebuilding but reviving and renewing His people. In today's text, God raises up men of God who proclaim the Word of God in order to lead His people into repentance and obedience. While their obedience results in initial opposition, the end result is the prospering hand of God is upon them and they complete the construction of the temple, enjoying joy and practicing holiness. These are lessons we need for today as we build God's Kingdom.
